Surgery: What To Expect
Do not eat or drink at least 12 hours before your surgery. If any abnormalities occur, increased temperature, cough, cold, vomiting or diarrhea, from the last time you met with your surgeon to now then you need to inform the center or surgeon.
Bring all your information with you to the center the day of your surgery, this includes a Photo ID, medical insurance cards, Medical assistance information, numbers and addresses. You will also need to make sure you have a responsible adult to take you to the center and to stay with you for at least 24 hours after the surgery.
After the surgery if any unexpected changes occur in your condition then call your surgeon right away. Do not take any medications other than what has been prescribed to you. Avoid driving or operating machinery and avoid consuming any alcohol.
